The donated roadblock thermometers and scanners will assist the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison in its effort to combat the further spread of Covid-19. This equipment can be used for both employees and clients or communities who visit the departmental offices.

They can also be used during the roadblocks.

The department’s HOD, Busisiwe Nkuna, commended Syntell for the donation of 10 thermometers and 10 scanners.

“The department will proceed to procure for more which can up to 200 because the department has more than 800 traffic officers. Motorists will be scanned and staff of the department including visitors to their offices to ensure compliance,” said Nkuna.
